Fit and compatibility
Which iPhone models do you fit?
Twenty models: iPhone 17 Air, 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max, 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max.
Each case is moulded for one specific model. A 16 Pro case will not fit a 16 Pro Max, and a Plus case will not fit a Pro. Select your exact model on the product page before adding to cart.
How do I find out which iPhone I have?
On your phone, open Settings → General → About. The Model Name line tells you exactly which iPhone you own. It takes ten seconds and it is the single most common reason people order the wrong case.
Will it still fit if I use a screen protector?
Yes in almost every case. The raised front bezel sits just above the glass, so standard tempered glass protectors fit underneath without lifting. Very thick privacy or curved-edge protectors can occasionally catch on the lip.
Do you make cases for Samsung, Google Pixel or iPad?
Not right now. We are iPhone only. If there is a device you would like us to add, tell us and we will keep count.
Finish and design
Glossy or matte, which should I pick?
Glossy gives the deepest, richest colour and a high shine. It looks best on bright, saturated prints. It does show fingerprints.
Matte is softer to the touch, hides marks far better, and grips more securely in the hand. It slightly mutes the very brightest colours but suits warm, earthy and painterly prints beautifully.
If you are undecided and you drop your phone a lot, pick matte for the grip.
Is the design printed or textured?
Printed. The artwork is applied at 300+ DPI and wraps fully around the exterior, then sits under a protective finish. The surface is completely smooth. Nothing is embossed, raised or made from the material shown, so our cowhide and ceramic-look prints are printed patterns rather than real hide or glaze.
Will the colours look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but expect small differences. Screens vary in brightness and colour calibration, and the glossy finish photographs slightly more saturated than matte. If exact colour matters to you, matte photographs closest to how it looks in real life.
Will the print scratch, fade or peel off?
The print is sealed under a UV- and scratch-resistant finish rather than sitting on the surface, so it will not peel and will not fade quickly in sunlight. Deep scratches from keys or grit can still mark the finish, as they can on any printed case.
Protection
How protective are these cases?
They are built in two layers. A rigid polycarbonate outer shell takes the impact and resists cracking and twisting. A cushioned TPU liner sits inside it and absorbs the shock before it reaches your phone. Raised bezels around the screen and camera keep both off the surface when you set the phone down face-down or camera-down.
That is a genuine dual-layer construction, not a single moulded shell with a print on it.
What is the drop rating? How many feet?
We do not publish a drop-height figure, because our cases have not been independently drop-certified and we are not willing to quote a number we cannot back up. Plenty of brands do. We would rather tell you exactly what the case is made from and let you judge.
What we can say: rigid polycarbonate shell, cushioned TPU liner, reinforced corners, raised screen and camera bezels. That is the same construction used by cases that do carry certification.
Does the case cover the screen?
The raised front bezel sits above the glass so the screen never touches a flat surface, but the screen itself is left open so you can use it. For full front coverage, pair the case with a tempered glass screen protector.
Is the camera protected?
Yes. The cutout is surrounded by a raised lip that sits proud of the lenses, so the camera array is held clear of the surface when the phone lies face-up.
MagSafe and charging
Is this really MagSafe compatible?
Yes. There is a magnet module embedded inside the shell during manufacture, aligned to Apple's magnet ring. It is not a magnetic sticker added to the back. Chargers, wallets, mounts, grips and stands snap on centred and hold.
Do I need to take the case off to charge wirelessly?
No. Wireless charging works through the case, on both MagSafe chargers and standard Qi pads.
Will my MagSafe wallet stay on?
Yes, under normal use, in and out of a pocket or bag. As with any third-party case, a heavily loaded wallet pulled at an angle can detach more easily than it would on Apple's own case.
Will non-Apple magnetic accessories work?
Usually, but hold strength varies by brand. The magnet layout follows Apple's standard, so anything built to that standard will align correctly. Cheaper generic magnetic mounts sometimes use weaker magnets and hold less firmly. This is a limitation of the accessory, not the case.
Does the case make my phone hot while charging?
No more than any other dual-layer case. If your phone is charging in direct sunlight or in a hot car it will warm up, which is normal and your iPhone will manage it.
Ordering and shipping
How long until my order arrives?
[FILL IN — your Printify production time plus shipping time. Check Printify's quoted production window for the Magnetic Impact-Resistant Case with your chosen print provider, add the carrier transit time, and state both separately. For example: "Each case is made to order, which takes X business days, then Y business days in transit." Do not guess this number.]
Every case is printed to order, so there is a short production window before it ships. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting.
Where do you ship to?
[FILL IN — the countries you have enabled in Shopify Settings → Shipping and delivery.]
How much is shipping? Is there free shipping?
[FILL IN — your rates, and your free shipping threshold if you set one.]
How do I track my order?
You will get a confirmation email as soon as you order, and a second email with a tracking link once your case leaves the production facility. If the tracking email has not arrived and your production window has passed, email us and we will chase it.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Only before production starts, which is usually within the first 24 hours. Because each case is printed individually for you, once it enters production it cannot be cancelled or changed. If you have ordered the wrong model, email us immediately and we will do everything we can to catch it in time.
Returns, replacements and warranty
What if my case arrives damaged, misprinted or is the wrong item?
We replace it free, no return needed. Email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem, and we will send a new one out. You will not be charged and you do not need to post anything back.
Can I return a case if I just don't like it?
[FILL IN — this is a real business decision, so make it deliberately rather than copying a competitor. Because every case is printed to order, a change-of-mind return cannot be resold and your supplier will not refund you for it. The two honest options are: (a) no change-of-mind returns, stated plainly and up front, or (b) accept them and absorb the cost as a marketing expense. Whichever you choose, say it clearly here. Do not promise "free 30-day returns" unless you have decided to pay for them yourself.]
What if I ordered the wrong iPhone model?
Contact us as soon as you realise. If production has not started we can usually fix it. If it has, the case has already been made for the model you selected, so we cannot swap it. Please double-check your model in Settings → General → About before ordering.
Do you offer a warranty?
We stand behind manufacturing quality. Anything that is a defect in materials or printing is covered by the free replacement above. Ordinary wear and tear is not covered, which includes scratches from daily use, marks from keys or grit, and damage caused by a drop.
Looking after your case
How do I clean it?
Wipe it with a soft, damp microfiber or cotton cloth. Avoid solvents, alcohol wipes, bleach and abrasive cleaners, all of which attack the printed finish. Let the case dry fully before putting it back on your phone.
Will the case go yellow?
Yellowing is a problem with clear TPU cases, where UV light discolours transparent plastic and it shows immediately. Our cases are fully printed, so there is no clear surface for yellowing to be visible on.
How do I take the case off without snapping it?
Start at one bottom corner. Peel that corner back and away from the phone, then work along the bottom edge before lifting the phone out from the base. Do not try to push the phone out through the camera cutout.
Still stuck?
Email us at [FILL IN — a support email address. Set up something like help@dripthreads.us rather than using a personal Gmail address; it is a meaningful trust signal at checkout.] and we will get back to you.
